And my question is this: WHEN you become a published author with lucrative contracts (Kudos to those of you who already are) What will be your first Rock Star purchase? Not the everyday purchases of clothes or food, or paying the bills, which, lets face it, is what most of us do. A totally frivolous purchase that only rock stars and wealthy authors can make.
I'd buy a fountain pen. A beautiful, swirly, expensive fountain pen. Not necessary, but so. much. fun.
What would you (or did you) buy?
I had big plans... then bought more books to read, lol.
ReplyDeleteMore books are always good! In fact, they're necessary.
DeleteHa! Ha! As a professional non-fiction writer now, I'm definitely not rolling in the dough enough to make those kind of plans.
ReplyDeleteWell, I doubt I ever will be either, but sometimes it's fun to dream.
DeleteWhat a great question....
ReplyDeleteI'd buy my dream house in Europe.
I just might come visit.
DeleteA tropical trip without pinching the pennies... and a return trip to France. Can you see a pattern? ;-)
ReplyDeleteTravel would be amazing. I may have to choose that over a fountain pen. Maybe.
DeleteI have no lofty monetary goals or fantasy Rock Star purchase, but with the first real money I made from writing, I bought myself a laptop. (Such a rebel!)
ReplyDeleteI love laptops.

ReplyDeleteHa. Hmmmm... I'll let you know???
ReplyDelete;-)
And glad to be back... I've missed your lovely blog. :) :)
Good to see you around again.
DeleteWhat a fun question. I would buy more storage space for all my books!
ReplyDeleteOh, fun! Love the idea of a fountain pen. I would either fly lots of family over to visit us, or take a few months off work and rent a seaside cottage in Wales or Scotland, or rent or buy a second apartment to turn into a real library or...
ReplyDeleteWait, how much money will I earn?
