Post A-Z

Hey everyone!  Survive April?  Have a nice break since then?  Anyone celebrate Star Wars Day or the Cinco De Mayo?  I've noticed the blogosphere has been a little quiet this last week.  I know I was taking a little break. It was the first A-Z I participated in and I enjoyed it!  I'm very glad I prescheduled my posts as April turned into a horrible month.  I wasn't able to visit as many blogs as I wanted and I know I missed returning some comments but I enjoyed every blog I did visit. Thanks for sharing your A-Z journey with me.

During April I recieved a few blog awards. First I want to say thanks to the people who thought of me.  Jan Morrison, Sarah Chafin, and Suze. I truly appreciate being nominated for these.  I'm not going to answer each of the sets of questions but I'll answer a few from each set.

If you could do whatever you wanted (money no object) how would you spend your time?
Honestly probably not much different than now, though there would just be less cleaning and more travel.

Fave midnight snack?
Nothing.  I can't eat late at night or I get really bad heartburn.  Pain is not my favorite midnight snack.

Naughty or nice?
Nice.  And I never fall for the bad boys, in life or in books.

Its raining, not just a drizzle, but a full downpour, you have nothing planned for the day.  What do you do?

Depends do I have kids?  If the kids are with me I try desperately to entertain them while keeping their energy in check so we don't all go bonkers or end up in the hospital.  If the kids are elsewhere I cuddle up with a snack and book or my laptop and listen to the rain.

Do you prefer to read a book that focus's on a action filled plot or a character based one?
 Character based.

If you could have any meal for dinner tonight, anywhere in the world, what would you have?

Something I didn't cook, though I'm feeling in the mood for Chinese.

 Who are your influences?
The biggest influences on my life are my parents.  They're the best and they're always there to help or just offer a sympathetic ear when I need.

Have you ever had a recurring (sleeping) dream? If so, care to share it?
Frequently, too many to list here.  Sometimes I'll have the same dream every night for a week then never have it again.  Sometimes I'll have the same dream years and years later.

What was the first name of the first person you kissed/who kissed you?
The Engineer was the first (and only) person I ever kissed.  Once you find the right one there's no need to look around.  Plus I was very shy growing up.

We'll get back to some regularly scheduled posting sometimes soon.  Probably.  :)

  1. I could definitely do with less cleaning. Glad you enjoyed the challenge. I enjoyed reading the blogs but am glad it's over because it made for even more blogging time than I usually do.

  2. I'll admit, I fall for bad boys in books, but only in books. In real life I prefer the good boys.

I had two boys kiss me at the same time for my first kiss. One tried to kiss me on the lips and I thought that was icky. I was eight. :D

  3. Nice to get to know a bit more about you, Sara. Funny thing is, your answers are the same as mine would have been had someone asked them of me! LOL!

  4. We celebrated Star Wars Day by heading out to our local comic book store for Free Comic Day. My daughter wore her Star Wars shirt and two hair clips she picked out, appropriately, Batman and a Mario Mushroom. I skipped watching Star Wars that afternoon (blasphemy, but sacrifices are a necessity) and headed out to spend some time writing.

Oh, and I concur with less cleaning. ;)

    1. My kids have outgrown all their Star Wars clothes, luckily son still has a Mario Kart shirt. We didn't end up watching Star Wars either. It was haircut night.

    Character based.'

    :)

I love your kiss answer. I was very idealistic growing up. Very much wanting to be a one-man woman. I love hearing when it actually works out the way I dreamed. Just lovely, my friend.

    1. I probably wouldn't have been opposed to kissing other people before I met him but that would have involved talking to people.

  11. Fun! I enjoy learning more about my blogging friends. Although I didn't participate in the A-Z, I enjoyed when I did stop in at those who were participating. Whew. The relief that May's here; I can imagine.

Great answers, Sara. Love learning more about you.

  13. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed how things have been quiet lately. I think everyone needs a small breather after A-Z. So much fun, but also a lot of work.

And congrats on all the awards! That's awesome!

  15. Congrats on the awards, and you came up with some super answers. Didn't play any kissing games at parties, eh?

  16. I wish all kids could have their parents as their biggest influence. Sadly the parents often act as immature as their kids. What a blessed lady you are.

Congratulations on your awards. You deserve them.

  20. I don't blame you for taking some time off blogging. The A-Z challenge took quite a bit of time.

I have reacuring dreams that sort of feel like deja vu. It is crazy. :)

  21. Oh, you have recurring dreams too? Most of mine revolve around my grandmother's summer place - there's always a wave or storm coming in off the sea, and threatening the place. So far in every dream but one it's stopped at the front gate. Once the water was all the way up to the front door. *shiver*
