Awards!

A little while ago I received some awards.   First I got the Leibster Blog award from Livia. Then I received the Super Sweet Blogger award from Tammy Theriault.  Thanks to both of you!  Both involve questions so I'll answer a few from each.

1. Name your favorite movie.  Well, I don't know if it's my favorite but a movie that always makes me giggle just by thinking of it is It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

2. Name your favorite holiday. Either Thanksgiving or the Fourth of July.

3. Bacon or tenderloin? BACON!!!!

4. Name your favorite comfort meal. My mom's stew.  Yum.

5. Do you daydream? All the time!  It's hard to stop, much to The Engineers dismay.

6. If you were on a deserted island, what would you bring? My family of course.  Then lots of food, books, computer, and sunblock.  I burn easily.

1. Cookies or cake? Cookies!  I much prefer to have food I can carry around and eat without plate or fork.

2. What is your favorite sweet treat? I'm a total mood eater so whatever I'm in the mood for.

3. When do you crave sweet things most?  Again with the mood thing here. I think I usually crave more when I'm busy stressed but...shrug.

Thanks so much!

  1. Ooooo, I love stew too. I made a big batch yesterday and I'm hoping to have it again today (as long as Sandy hasn't taken out the power yet.)
    Congratulations on the awards!

    1. Ooo, hope Sandy doesn't hit you hard. It blew past us with a little wind and some power flickers but that's it. Good luck!

  2. Congrats! Now I want something sweet. Halloween coming up, I'm looking forward to "vetting" the trick or treat candy my daughter is too young to eat, lol. :D

    1. Truck Boy can't eat dairy so that means no chocolate, caramel or nougat, so hubby and I make out pretty well.

  3. Make mine veggie soup. ; ) My sweet tooth is empty right now and you make me think of cake, cookies, and my hubby's favorite candy--Payday! Yum!

  4. Fun answers! I'm a mood eater too. But pretty happy with dark chocolate at any time.
I sure wish I had some of that stew today. It's a cold windy day here in FLA. :D

    1. Yea, chocolate is good pretty much anytime. It's been cool here today too, that's probably why I thought of it.

  6. I love my stew, especially with freshly-ground pepper and a green chilli to give it that slight sting... yummy!

    1. I love pepper but skip the chillies. I get heartburn.

    1. AS an eater I'm much more of a grazer than a sit down to a balanced meal type person. I don't know if that's a good thing.

  11. I'm totally a mood eater too.

Good logic about the cookies. Plus it's easier to control how much you take. Most of the time. :)

Always nice to learn more about you!

    1. Now that my kids are just of an age to experience Christmas it's gaining on the lead. Still, I'll always have a soft spot for Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.

  13. Agree, agree, I would bring a computer too on that deserted island! I could never live without a computer considering I go on it every single day :)

And yeah, I love Thanksgiving too. But Christmas hits the spot.

Congrats on the awards! You're awesome, Sara!

  14. Cookies! <-----All the way. This was fun, Sara. I loved reading more about you. It's weird, cuz we're all friends here on blogosphere, but not friends in the way that we know this kind of stuff about each other. :) Fun!
