Here in the US we’re celebrating Thanksgiving this week. I’d be a horrible person if I didn’t recognize how many blessing I have in my life. I can’t list all of them here but I’ll recognize a few.

I’m grateful for my life. Life isn’t easy, and it isn’t always happy, but right now, my family is together, we’re healthy, happy, and we have what we need to take care of ourselves. There’s no greater blessing than that.

I’m grateful for modern medicine that helps me live a normal life.

I have a wonderful, supportive spouse, who not only cares about me, and takes care of me, but who really seems to get how important writing is to me.

I have a loving Heavenly Father who comforts and helps me.

You don’t need to be American to celebrate this week. I’d love to hear what each of you are grateful for in the comment section.

  1. It is always good to be grateful. I just heard a little story on NPR on how this can affect your health in good ways. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Spesh,

Happy Thanksgiving! May all things worthy of gratitude continue to flow into your life and wrap you in support and comfort.

    1. Thanks, Rose. I wish the same for you!

  3. A thankful heart is a happy heart. Great post!

  4. Great post. :) It is definitely the time for reflection, and what I love most about this time of the year. I'm grateful for my Fiance...who supports and appreciates my quirky writing habits.

  5. Hey Sara, *lovely* post and you (and your spouse) are lucky to have each other :)

Happy shopping, if you're heading out to the madness :)

  6. Lovely, Sara. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

  7. Happy Belated Thanksgiving, Sara. Actually, happy Thanksgiving for next year. Hope it brings forth even better joy and prosperity.

  8. Hope you and your family had a lovely holiday. And I hear ya, life isn't easy so it's best to appreciate the good times. Cheers.

  9. So sweet. I'm grateful for the fridge being full of cheese, my kids by my side each day, and beauty of a daily Floridian sunset. It's easy to take for granted how truly blessed we are.

  10. Love your list of blessings and I'm so happy I can say the same!
