It’s been a very difficult year for me and I’m afraid I had
let myself become worn down and bitter. Even a little depressed. This month that has changed. I’ve had too many examples of how blessed I
truly am.
Things can be hard, hopes
and dreams may not be fulfilled. But it
doesn’t matter. I am so very blessed in
the life I have, in my family, in my home.
I’m so grateful for this season that reminds me of what’s important in
life, and how lucky I am.
I hope each of you are having a wonderful and blessed year end.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Hi, Sara! No matter what life throws at us, there is always something to be thankful for. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

Realizing ones blessings is always a great way to get out of a slump. I hope next month is even better than this one!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!!!
Think of the mess of life sometimes as the part of the image a child sees from the bottom of their grandmothers embroidery hoop...the top, the part that is being created, is beautiful. And sometime you will see why the messy looking knots and long stitches were necessary to create the blessings. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad things are looking brighter for you! Merry Christmas!!!

It's moments like these that help carry us through the darker moments, sometimes without even realizing it. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Sara.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara,
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed and you draw inspiration from all that is truly good in your life. At times we can give depressive thoughts permission to overwhelm our lives. We refuse to let that happen. For we know that the niggling self doubts are telling us lies.
Your upbeat attitude is greatly admired, my friend.
I do so hope you and your loved ones had a peaceful, positive Christmas Day.
Gary :)
Yeah I know what you mean. A few times this year were really hard on me, but right through them, I knew I was still blessed and still ten times as happy than I would have been if I did anything else with my life.
ReplyDeleteHi,Sara,
ReplyDeleteWe have ALL had troubles this year, but the bottom line is.... we are very blessed. We just need to open our eyes and hearts to realize how lucky we truly are...
Hope you had a WONDERFUL Christmas!! ALL the best for the coming new year!
Hi Sara .. you have some wonderful friends here with some wise word - though you've done the right thing and realised we are blessed, whatever troubles are pesking us ..
ReplyDeleteHave a better year .. and for now enjoy realising the blessings you have - Hilary
The only time we humans have no troubles is before birth and after death. In between that's what it's all about and how we manage those troubles is our life. It's the dash on the tombstone that holds the story. May your dash be filled with wonderful things.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things have taken an upturn for you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy that things have turned to the better this month. I hope your Christmas was wonderful and I wish you a 2014 filled with joy and many wonderful blessings!

ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family had a joy-filled Christmas and that all of you are facing the New Year with hope in your hearts. I'm glad this last month has been easier in important regards for you, Sara, and I pray that upward trend is here to stay.
ReplyDeleteOnce we start counting them, the blessings can be overwhelming - and even more so sometimes for the fact that we took them for granted.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a joyous new year!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's difficult to overcome what seems to be an overwhelming amount of negative things that string themselves throughout out our year. But in quiet reflection, when the good is remembered, too, it can sometimes makes things a little brighter. Happy New Year!
