A couple weeks ago, Ruth, over at Out on a Limb, gave me the sweet blogger award. I want to say thanks to her for thinking of me. If you're not familiar with her blog you really should check it out. She's an awesome person.
1. Cookies or Cake?
Cookies definitely. I like to eat on the go and that's much harder to do with cake. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of frosting. I know, several of you may have to recover from shock.
2.Chocolate or Vanilla?
Depends on what it is.
3. Favorite sweet treat?
YES!
4. When do you crave sweet things most?
Right after a meal. I don't feel as if the meal has ended unless it ends sweet. Most days I try to chew gum to get the sweet without the calories. Still, It's a yearning I don't think I'll ever grow out of.
5. Sweet nick-name?
Nope. Don't really have a nickname at all, unless you count Mommy, and that's the sweetest thing of all to hear.
What about you? Want to answer one of these questions on the comment section? Do you like frosting?
Happy Halloween everyone!
Congrats on receiving the award. #4 - the same for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Good to know I'm not alone.
DeleteWay to go!
ReplyDeleteI'm a chocolate fiend!
Me too. But there are certain things I just don't like in chocolate, milk and ice cream for example.
DeleteYes! Frosting, chocolate candy, pie, etc. etc. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHubby is a huge pie fan. He likes fruit based deserts.
DeleteI love your answer to no. 2! :D
ReplyDeleteI probably should have elaborated but I have a head cold that makes it hard to think so my answers were necessarily short.
DeleteLove it, Sara! Especially #5. Congrats on your award!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the award. I hope you're feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteMy answer to the first question would have to me, "Yes, please."
Congratulations on the "sweet" award, Sara. You definitely deserve it! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm game for cookies or cake whenever, I'll admit. And I like frosting, so long as it's the good kind--if it tastes like plastic, then I'd rather not waste calories on it!
ReplyDeleteI love frosting! Of course, there is a proper frosting-to-cake ratio that must be observed, but in my opinion, better to err on the side of frosting (especially if it's cream cheese frosting... yum).
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award--it's well-deserved!
I don't have a regular nick-name but sometimes I really like to be called Dude.
ReplyDeleteAww, love Mommy as a nickname :-)
ReplyDeleteFrosting hurts my teeth :-( I don't like stuff that's sickly sweet - I love that 99% cocoa chocolate!
I'm not a fan of frosting either...hence why I love cakes with whipping cream. On the down side, they are definitely not for eating on the go. :(
ReplyDeleteI adore sweets, but if any nuts are added to sweets, I stay miles away.
ReplyDeleteSweet tooth too-- it's my downfall. Sigh. And right, sugar free gum doesn't do it for me either. But definitely chocolate. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have begun the habit of having a piece of almond chocolate after dinner. It's so difficult to stick to only one. I try, he's bad!
ReplyDeleteHere are my answers:
ReplyDelete1. Cookies or Cake?
It depends...
2.Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate for sure!
3. Favorite sweet treat?
Reeses!
4. When do you crave sweet things most?
All the time, but I'm with you, Sara, right after a meal is when my taste buds start a craving.
5. Sweet nick-name?
No nick-name.
6. Do you like frosting?
The more the better.
I love sweets!
Aloha!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for helping promote the "50 States of Pray" event - I really appreciate that and you are so notated for Georgia :)
PS... To be called Mommy is pretty sweet - but I prefer "Papa" :)
I'm a fan of frosting, or icing as it's known here. No one does it better than my other half though. She's a baking maestro!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award! And I wholeheartedly agree on #5. I unashamedly adore frosting. However, since discovering that I'm lactose intolerant, frosting has become much more of a rarity. It's simple enough to make, but often times not worth the effort.
