Last week was an awesome, hot, sweaty adventure that involved way to many scorpions. One would have been too many and there were more than one. Of course, I came home to a snake living over my back door so maybe the scorpions weren't so bad. The best thing is that I didn't get a single tick! This is completely amazing because of the number of ticks out there. One girl at camp got eight in one day!
I missed being around the blogosphere and can't wait to catch up with everything. What did you do last week?
My week did not involve any scorpions, but it did include a graduation, dance recital and lunch with my mom and daughter at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun, albeit busy week.
DeleteCongrats to whomever graduated!
Glad you had a good week. Last week was the last week of school here and high school finals. We're just starting summer vacation today with lots of swimming, working, and an ACT prep class for my daughter. And a lot of driving for me on top of work.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good week. Great to see you here again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo. It's good to be home again.
DeleteThree of the most dreaded words (ticks, scorpions, snakes) and you have to deal with them all.
ReplyDeleteI had a lot of meetings and appointments last week. Usually I have none (or maybe two at most)!!!!
Sounds like fun....well, not the scorpion part...but the camping part :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
Other than the bugs, and the humidity, it was amazing.
DeleteWhat an exciting adventure. I'm glad you survived! And I hope you moved that snack along. Ick!
ReplyDelete8 ticks in one day??
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, what was the question?
8... Oh gosh...
Glad you're back and tick free! (:
ReplyDeleteTicks and scorpions are enough to keep me from camping. I don't mind snakes too much if they're not poisonous. Glad you made it back.
ReplyDeleteWait, there was a snake _above_ your door? And you still went inside?! Brave lady...
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun! :)
It was curled up in a birds nest (after having eaten the baby birds) that was under the deck and over the back door. We disposed of it as soon as we found it. Can't have that lurking around with young kids.
DeleteScorpions? Snakes? I'd say my week was a lot more tame than yours. But I didn't pick up any ticks, either. Lucky us! (HATE those things.)
ReplyDeleteThey give me the creeps! Any tick free week is a good one.

It's very nice to be back.
DeleteEwwwww... I'm so glad you're back too!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere were you camping? I want to note the location and avoid it like the plague!
ReplyDeleteMiddle Georgia. I think anywhere in the deep south would be pretty similar, though.
DeleteWelcome back! Ticks are so gross. We have tons of them where I live but have been fortunate not to get any on us, yet. My husband just came home and was all excited because we have a baby alligator by our mail box. Oh boy.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Would be good to see you around the Blogosphere again!
ReplyDeleteNas
You're braver than me :)
ReplyDeleteOnly Scorpions I want to see are enclosed in a CD set :)
Welcome back :)
Er, besides the houseparty? Wish you could have come to that!
ReplyDeleteBut, eek! scorpions! I've never seen one in real life.
Glad you're back :-)
Scorpions and snakes, wow! Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteLast week, I've been working on some pages for a MS that I plan to send out for review at a writer's conference later this summer.
