I'm lame. I just want a certain list of books for Christmas. But your babysitting idea is a good one (not for me, for you...my kids are in school). I've heard of writer-moms doing this and actually being able to get a book completed in that time. Plus, I think it might be tax deductible. :)
I've got a list of books too. I've thought of the babysitter but there's not much money and not many people who could do it. It's on the list of things I want to do with my advance when I get one. Of course, three more years and my kids will be in school anyway.
Please bring back McDonald's Holiday Pies. They ran out in our local area well before December 2nd, even though they're supposed to have produced enough to last through the end of the month. They taste just like funfetti cookies filled with custard and I will be sad if I don't ever get to eat another one this year.
Love this! I need an intern. Someone to help keep the library catalogue up to date, organize all the stuff I collect into a filing system, type up random notes and things to look up, hunt down rare library books, fetch coffee, make phone calls...
I'd love someone to manage all the digital stuff. I enjoy it, but there aren't enough hours in the day to write and blog and Tweet and Facebook and.... :)
LOL. Make best seller's list in NY times because of the bonus in the contract.
ReplyDeleteSounds great! I hope you get it this year.
DeleteOh, I recently saw this too, on fb maybe. It's funny and yeah, I'd have a list like this to give Santa too. :D
ReplyDeleteHope your list comes true!
DeleteI'm not embarrassed to admit I'd like a big F A T advance for my next three books! There I said it! I also want my house sold before the end of March!
ReplyDeleteI'd like the advance too! Of course, first I'd like a contract. Good luck selling the house!

ReplyDeleteI hear you.
DeleteHA! I LOVE that.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. :)

Lol, favorite writing snacks should definitely be on the list!
DeleteSorry about your holiday pies.
Ha ha, love it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the ability to write every book perfectly on my first draft? ;)
Hmmm, I kind of like revising. I learn so much. Maybe I would ask that I could do it in two drafts rather than 15.

ReplyDeleteOoo, a personal assistant would be nice.
DeleteLOVE THIS! I'm going to see Santa this year, even if my kids are too big. I need all those things and a room with a view.
ReplyDeleteRoom with a view is a great idea! Especially if it has a door.
DeleteFunny! How about lots of shelf space at the local bookstore for my book when it comes out...
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! I didn't even think of that.
DeletePerfect!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect! The comic pretty much sums it up, Sara! ^_^
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed!
DeleteHahahaha excellent! A publishing contract would be nice too. ;-P
