Pretty, Shiny

This is my new netbook.  Look how pretty and shiny it is.  I am so excited to have a little laptop I can carry around with me for writing.  It also has a kindle app and I have been busy downloading free books.  Don't worry I'll get to the ones I have to purchase too.

The Engineer (best spouse ever!) purchased this for me.  It wasn't a surprise. I had input so I could pick the one I liked. Which basically meant we went to Best Buy so I could type on the keyboards.  Hey, keyboards are important!

While it's pretty and shiny and exciting the best thing about this laptop is that it was The Engineer's idea.  Which means he gets me.  He understands that this is what I do and that I'm going to be doing it for the rest of my life.  Did I say he was the best spouse ever?  Because he is.

  1. Oooo, pretty! I'm having a little bit of envy over here. That would be perfect for all those hours I spend in various parking lots, waiting for my kids to come out. And yes, keyboards are important:)

  2. Cool! I find keyboards to be all important, too. I need my desktop equipped with an ergonomic one to function. I guess it's a good thing that I write long hand when I draft. ; )

Exactly! That's why hubby got it for me. He must have got tired of finding me hunched over a computer trying to transcribe from my notebook to the computer in the dark. (I forget to turn on lights)

I'm glad you understand the importance of keyboards. I hoped most writers would.

Thanks. I do like to write longhand sometimes. Usually when I need a change of pace or hope to shake something loose that's lurking in my mind just out of reach.

  8. Thanks Deniz. I enjoy it and it's about the same size to carry as my notebook was.
